All my passwords gone.
Multiple users reported losing all saved passwords in Brave Browser on or around April 1, 2026, following a recent update or system restart, with some instances occurring even without an explicit update.
This problem has been reported across Windows, macOS, and iOS, affecting local-only profiles that do not use Brave Sync.
Recovery is highly unlikely without a prior backup unless the encryption key is restored via system
synchronization.
Brave Browser is now trash.
